Screening for Mental Health - Raising Awareness

The Acadia University Student Resource Centre offers free and anonymous online screening for depression, alcohol use, eating disorders, and anxiety.  The online screenings are informational, not diagnostic, and treatment recommendations are not provided.

The information completed in the screening itself is for your eyes only.  Information from your screening is not sent to the Student Resource Centre or any other University entity.  You may find it helpful to print off your screening results to share with a counsellor; however, you are under no obligation to share this information with anyone.

Online screening is made available so that Acadia students, staff and faculty may find out whether consultation with a Student Resource Centre counsellor may be helpful.

Should you decide you would like to speak to a counsellor about your screening results, please call 585-1246 or email counselling@acadiau.ca for an appointment. Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 to noon and from 1:15 to 4:30 PM.

If you have an urgent need after hours, please call Acadia Security at 585-1103 and they will reach the on-call counsellor.
